Accessibility statement for www.luxury.otto.at
OTTO Immobilien strives to make its website www.luxury.otto.at as accessible as possible in accordance with the Federal Act on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services (BaFG) and Directive (EU) 2019/882.
As there is currently no legal obligation for private service providers without a direct contract, this statement is voluntary and serves to ensure transparency for all users.
Status of compliance with requirements
he website www.otto.at is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformity level AA, and with the European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03).
A test of the luxury.otto.at homepage conducted in October 2025 using AccessibilityChecker.org yielded an accessibility score of 83 percent. Based on these results, measures to improve accessibility were implemented across the entire website.
Non-accessible content
There are currently restrictions in the following areas:
• Missing or incorrect ARIA roles in navigation elements
• Inadequate color and contrast ratios (multiple text and control elements)
• Duplicate or missing landmark definitions (“contentinfo”)
• Inconsistent ARIA designations or role labels
• Presentation elements with invalid attributes (e.g., tabindex)
These barriers can particularly affect users with visual or motor impairments, as well as screen reader users.
Measures for improvement
OTTO Immobilien is continuously working to improve accessibility.
Planned and ongoing measures include:
• Addition of missing ALT texts
• Revision of the heading structure
• Checking and optimisation of colours and contrasts
• Creation of accessible PDF documents (e.g. property management forms)
• Training of content managers
• Revision of form and navigation elements
• Internal workshop + formation of a working group
A new audit is planned for 2026.
